BRIEF-Soccer-Levski sell Moroccan bad-boy Rabeh to Russian club

SOFIA, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Levski Sofia have sold controversial Morocco defender Youssef Rabeh to Russian Premier League newcomers Anzhi Makhachkala, the Bulgarian champions said on Monday. The 24-year-old, who has been involved in several off-the-field incidents since joining Levski from Moroccan side FAR Rabat in 2007, signed a three-year contract.

Rabeh was suspended by the Sofia club last month after local media reported he had been spotted drinking late at a nightclub.

The player also had his driving licence confiscated for a year after being found to be over the alcohol limit when he was involved in a road accident last February. Six months later he was arrested for drink-driving despite being in the middle of his ban. (Reporting by Angel Krasimirov, editing by Tony Jimenez.
